Position Summary

The company’s merchandiser plans and implements merchandising strategies, collaborates with channel partners, and builds customer relationships. The company’s merchandiser responsibilities include understanding customer behavior, monitoring stock flows, managing inventory levels, ensuring product displays are appealing to customers and implementing promotional activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Executing merchandising strategy.
• Creating attractive, high drama product displays; which may require stocking sales floor shelves.
• Implementing product promotions, price changes, mark downs, etc.
• Implementing media kits and all forms of media for promotional execution.
• Ensuring retail staff are well informed and trained on product details, promotions, and processes.
• Maintaining and tracking inventory.
• Acting as a liaison between the customer and company.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated tastemaker.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar position preferred.
• Proficiency in inventory management software programs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.

Physical Demand

• Climb stairs and ladders using proper safety measures
• Lifting up to 80 lbs.
• Bending, Stooping, Twisting, and Reaching
• Use of hands for POS and Computer Use
• Standing for lengthy periods of time (up to 10 hours or more)

Work Environment

• Work in heated and/or air-conditioned indoor setting including in a warehouse
• Ability to work fluctuating hours during peak seasons or as business necessitates
• Ability to work other positions as needed to fill business needs and cover shifts for other employees
• Follow all COVID-19 protocols as directed by management and local ordinances
